Five Minutes With... Corinne Dalle-Ore
Describe your ideal Sunday morning…
Nice pillows, some eggs, good bread, a nice tea and fresh fruits with the laughs of children in background
If you had to eat just one type of cuisine for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
No hesitation. Thai food, just for the flavour.
If you weren’t a successful artist, what do you think you would be?
A butterfly; fluttering from flower to flower on a tropical island!
What was the last film you watched?
'Connasse Princess Of Hearts', a movie made only with hidden cameras. But 'Baraka' is my favourite film - my sacred film - by Ron Fricke (1992).
What inspires you most in your work?
Travelling and colors!
Do you have any quirky habits when working in your studio?
I work with very loud music; be it Opera, Classic, Pop or Electro... but it has to be very loud.
How important do you think it is to have art in everyday life?
Art is like an open window in my world, it is oxygen.
What’s your favourite medium and why?
Painting is my language, life is my medium - so it's all kinds of art forms: painting, photos, good books, good food...!
What sort of art do you collect; how do you know you like a work of art?
I collect Carnet de Voyages, (travelling diaries with illustrations).
And finally, tell us something we possibly couldn’t guess about you…
I am a complete hypochondriac...!
