iSpy...Dave White's Fox in Oxfordshire
With the inaugural opening of the Brighton chapter in 2008, co-founder Justin sent out an ad for artists who could turn the hotel walls into dazzling murals in return for board - hundreds of artists applied - and the Artist Residence was born! Famed for their eclectic style and unique design aesthetic the Artist Residence has revealed its most recent addition to the family in Oxfordshire; in keeping with the AR philosophy the walls are adorned with beautiful and unique works of art, including this fantastic Fox by Dave White…
First exhibited with Loughran Gallery as part of his Albion exhibition in 2014, Dave White's Fox captures the movement and dynamism of this iconic creature in the explosive style for which he has become known, and fittingly explores the preservation of British heritage in nature. Hung in the brand new Stable Suite amongst antique furnishings and Morris & Co Fabrics, White’s expressive artwork is the perfect pairing for this luxurious take on the bohemian, British countryside retreat.
Set far from the sea amongst fields and farmlands the hotel is accompanied by AR’s take on the traditional English inn – Mr Hanbury’s Mason Arms - and with a menu of local seasonal, foraged produce & cocktails inspired by the countryside surroundings, we highly recommend a visit!
