Women take centre stage this week

For the first time in its century-long history, more women than men are competing for medals at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Women will make up 58 per cent of the garden designers competing for a medal this year at the flagship Royal Horticultural Society event, which has been running since 1913.

In celebration of this historical first, we’ve picked our favourite creations from this year’s women-led design teams and some blooming lovely pieces by our own female artists.

The females that inspire us daily

We love also being a part of a community of women in the art world dedicated to uplifting each other. Today, we’re shining a light on Charlie Barton, Jessica Zoob and Nancy Cadogan’s collaboration with The Land Gardeners and chef Lulu Cox – inspired by The Land Gardeners’ mission to heal our soils, heal our plants and heal our planet.

We’d also like to introduce you to – Lindsey Carr, Lisa Sharpe and Polly Morgan. Expect more of their incredible works and inspirations in the coming months.
