Art for Peace One Day
Responsible for implementing the first ever day of global ceasefire and non-violence which takes place annually on 21st September, the charitable organisation Peace One Day passionately believes that via awareness of the day itself, real world action and change is manifested; and they have the figures to prove it.
In collaboration with the non-profit, heartthrob Jude Law and his YBA pal Jake Chapman have rallied together some of the worlds leading contemporary artists including Damien Hirst, Sir Antony Gormely, Yinka Shonibare, Harland Miller and Marc Quinn in support of the cause with each of the artists donating artwork for an online charity auction with Paddle 8.
Featuring an outstanding selection of unique and original artworks and prints, the benefit auction also includes the exciting opportunity to bid for a ‘mystery prize artwork’ by acclaimed British artists The Chapman Brothers, who have promised to create a unique artwork specifically for the winner!
Bidding opened online via Paddle 8 the 21st September, and closes at 17:00 GMT+1 on 5th October 2016 with all funds raised going to the charity.
