Art On A Postcard 2018
With the aim of eliminating Hepatitis C as a major health concern by 2025, the Art on a Postcard initiative is now in its fifth year of holding art auctions to raise the funds needed and achieve their goal. For their 2018 edition AOAP have teamed up with The Other Art Fair in Bristol this July with an Urban Art Vs Street Photography theme.
Previous years have seen minature masterpieces donated by the likes of Peter Blake, Damien Hirst and Ben Eine, and this year Dave White and Harland Miller are amongst the artists rumoured to be embracing the challenge of scaling down their art into postcard sized pieces. With the auction revolving around the idea that each artwork will remain anonymous until its close – it's a unique and exciting opportunity for both established and keen new collectors to get their hands on original art by some of the art world’s biggest names.
To date Art on Postcard has raised over half a million pounds for The Hepatitis C Trust and as the NHS has pledged to provide affordable treatment for all after striking a deal with a pharmaceutical company earlier this year - their campaign to eliminate hepatitis C is gathering momentum. With over 300 works up for grabs and an important cause to support, here’s a selection of favourite works on show…
